I am SO happy with how this turned out.
I did one for each of my classes. It includes each child's handprint, from each class. (So, each class made their own rainbow... did you follow?:)
During the end of year program, my preschoolers are going to have an art show.
They are working on about 4 individual projects a piece, and then we are doing a few class projects as well. This Handprint Rainbow is one of the class projects.
At the end of their program in May, the guests can view the gallery, and parents or grandparents can purchase their child's art for $1. It is a great way to earn a little extra money for your school. (Ours simply goes to cover the cost of graduation, seeing as we have to rent a school auditorium and all) It is also SO exciting for the kids to have others view their artwork and love it so much they want to buy it! Cute, right? I think so:)
I'm tempted to make a duplicate of this rainbow here. It's not every year that I get to have my own child in one of my classes, and this rainbow has his little purple prints on it. I don't feel it would be fair for me to purchase a class project as the "teacher", of course. So I would need a second one for my own keepsake collection! Can't you picture it framed and hanging in a playroom? Cute.
